We used this robot to vacuum and mop a mix of pile rugs, FLOR carpet tiles, and hardwood floors within a large, open floor plan. With FREO Mind enabled, it vacuumed and mopped the 90m2 area in just 170 minutes, which is close to average for Gen 4.

In our test of how it cleaned baking soda near baseboards and in corners the Scout RX3 was impressive. Its suction of 2,500Pa was weaker than the other robots, however it was still quiet and moved quickly. robotvacuummops did not mop and its removable cleaning pad was difficult to attach. It also wasn't able to handle dirt that was dried on.
Its app is a little basic, lacking advanced features like multiple cleaning modes and automated scheduling. It supports Alexa but its voice controls aren't intuitive or responsive. It's also flaky when it comes to returning to the charging station after a run -- other robots can follow a previous route or sensibly follow a wall until they get to their home however, the RX3 just bumbles about until it gives up and then sends a message about failure to your phone.
We also had issues with the smart features of the device, namely its mapping feature as well as digital stay-out zones. While it did a good job of keeping away from our shoes and furniture legs, it got easily stuck by socks and cables, and was unable to handle the tassels that adorn carpets. This is the reason we decided not to include it in our Best Buy list.
